NVIDIA and Hugging Face jointly announced at CoRL 2026 in Munich: Isaac GR00T 1.7, Isaac Teleop, and Isaac Sim/Lab fully enter the open-source robotics framework LeRobot, with the Cosmos 3 world foundation model also included in the near-term roadmap. This is the first end-to-end open-source pipeline of "industrial-grade VLA + world model + simulation + data flywheel" recognized by both sides, directly connecting the collaboration pool of 3 million NVIDIA robotics developers and 16 million Hugging Face AI users. GR00T 1.7, as the first "open-source and commercially-usable" robot foundation model, uses a vision-language-action (VLA) architecture and can be post-trained and deployed in the LeRobot workflow to Jetson Thor edge hardware; Cosmos 3 fills in the world-model link, providing the scarce real-interaction data synthesis capability, easing the biggest data bottleneck of embodied intelligence. Combined with NVIDIA's physical AI dataset already open-sourced with over 15 million downloads (350K trajectories, 57 million grasps), the entire ecosystem is no longer built around closed-source solutions. For embodied research stuck on "data scarcity + tool fragmentation", this means developers can for the first time get a public, unified VLA training-simulation-deployment closed loop that runs on Jetson Thor.
